Dear Everyone,

Theres going to be some changes for the club during the 2010-11 school year.
Firstly, we are moving locations. No longer content with chilling in the basement of Oak Residence Hall, the club finds it's home in the new Student Union. For those of you who don't know, UMKC has built a new student union, a huge multilevel student activities center. Exactly where the club will be located are not for certain yet, but I will keep you all posted. The student Union will give us more room to do our thing, and will be unlocked throughout the day as far I know. No more having to sneak in the basement of Oak :snicker:. The time will not change from last year; Monday nights 7PM-10ish.

Im making an effort to recruit more regular members to join the club. Do to the noticable lack of advertising for the club, we were a bit short on regular members last year. I hope to change that through posting flyers, sponsoring other events and hosting meetings to bring people in. In particular, I would like to host an Alumni night sometime fairly early in the year where we invite past members to dance with us. I'd love to meet some former members. I think it would also be fun to host special nights dedicated to specific events or music types

Though not finalized yet, these are my big plans for the year. I haven't looked into tournaments much, feel free to give me ideas. Plan on the usual trip to Winsteads after the meetings Smiley

I'll let you all know more as the time comes closer. Be prepared, it's going to be a good year.

Hey. It's your 2010-11 DDR Club Vice President. For those of you who don't know, I'm JC. Jordie, the president, is currently at scout camp and not using the internet until he gets back.

Real Name: Jesse Collier Webb

Birthsign: Capricorn

Favorite Color: Purple
I'm weird; Left handed, and have type O+ blood

Music: I like just about every genre of music. Been getting more into electronic latly.

Playing DDR for about 1 1/2 years.

My style is a bit wild, but that's fine.

I'm a raver type of guy, relentless energy when it comes to dancing.

Architecture major at UMKC though I won't be around after this coming year, transferring to Kansas State.

An interesting guy, come by DDR club and get to know me.

Self-registration of new accounts on the forums (i.e. joining the forums by filling out the registration form) is disabled for now due to an increase in automated spammers joining the forums. Please contact Andy or me if you'd like to join the forums (or create an account for someone else) and we'll take care of it manually. Thanks!

Well, I placed in the Vegas tournament.  3rd place.

Also, I passed Pandemonium.

And Dignity.  I have Dignity pretty close to 90% now, it's actually not that hard for me anymore.

Oh, and in Sporktoberfest I beat Spork at DDR singles (but didn't place), took second in DDR doubles, and took third in ITG.

Time for an announcement! I didn't get this email til today, but it has all of the info for this Friday's fun run! It should be fun and I highly encourage you to join us. Let me know if you're planning on going or not.

I wanted to provide your club with the details of our Fun Run. It will be held on Friday September 19, 2008. It will start at 4:30pm run until 8pm. You are welcome to start setting up at 4pm or earlier if you are able. East Antioch is located at 7342 Lowell; Overland Park, KS 66204.  We will provide electricity for your computers and place you next to Erin Kiekbusch (American Heart Association) so you can also help her out.

All of our students are very excited to have your club participate at our Fun Run. They can not wait!! They do play DDR in gym but not for very long. You might want to bring cards to promote your club if you are just now getting out to play at birthday parties.

We will start putting out fliers next week promoting the Fun Run, if you have a club logo you want us to put on the flyer let me know.

We will also be paying your club $100.00. If you have any questions please give me a call 913 384-5193.

Thanks again,
Shelly O'Neill

That pretty much describes our forums. D:

It makes me sad.

So, here's a random post to give -some- life to this poor neglected place. <3

I hear the band Lacuna Coil. They sound a lot like Nightwish; they're both in the same genre, the whole dark/gothic heavy metal awesomeness. Grin I think you guys would like them too.

Yay.

Lookin' good so far!  My overall impression is that there's a bit too much pink...but I don't know what to suggest to fix it... XD  Other than the colors though, I like how it's arranged, and the idea of having a lil' picture box is pretty cool. =]

New AAA, Feeling of Love.  Actually I did it a while ago, but just thought I would post it.  I'm looking forward to the Pump Pro tournament in Vegas as well.  My goal is to place in it.
